Career and Technology Studies

The Career and Technology Studies program allows our students to experience a new dimension in learning, to fuse academic principles with hand-to-eye coordination and then produce something to take home and be proud of.

St. Mark maintains the last free standing Junior High Industrial Arts lab within the board.

In our Industrial Arts lab there are numerous powerful machines like saws and sanders and drills, and also hand-tools like chisels and sheers. To avoid personal injury all of them must be understood and treated with respect. Areas of production include clay and ceramics, plastics, metals, woods, and even graphic arts, where you can silk-screen your favourite logo onto your favourite tee shirt.

Foods & Fashions

In the Foods & Fashions lab, students learn how to safely use stoves and scissors and sewing machines. They sew clothes and stuffed animals, and prepare themselves to become the chefs of tomorrow.
