principals' message

Dear Parents and Guardians,

March is already upon us and we reach the homestretch as we race to the year end in four months. Report cards will be sent home on Friday, March 5th with the Parent/Student/Teacher Conferences scheduled for Thursday, March 11th, 2010.

At school, we are constantly reminding our students to improve their work, to work to the best of their ability and to take time at home to do their assignments well. We know, without a doubt, that parental involvement in their child’s work and school expectations is critical in helping maintain good study habits.

We are especially reminded that at this time of year when high schools are registering grade nines, parents of grade nine students should also be attending various open houses in March. Our students research their high school choices carefully and parents should be involved and informed about these critical choices. Grade 10 registration will take place on Thursday, March 11th, 2010 at 5:00 pm at St. Mark School.

We thank all the parents and future grade 7 students for attending the St. Mark Open House on February 11th, 2010.

We wish all a great March as we continue on our Lenten Journey, a welcomed spring and continued success in the St. Mark school community.
