science fairs

We hold regular science fairs at St. Mark. Judging takes place during the afternoon of the fair, with judges coming from the ranks of the scientific community and from the parents and staff. Some of our students move on with their entries to participate in the Edmonton Regional Science Fair, usually held at NAIT.

SCIENCE FAIR -- March 11, 2008

St. Mark held its 4th Annual Science Fair. There were 30 projects with over 45 student
participants. Congratulations to all participants on a job well done.

We anticipate a number of projects moving on to participate at the Edmonton Regional Science Fair at
NAIT on April 12th and 13th. We would like to acknowledge the support of the St. Mark Parent Advisory Council, Archbishop MacDonald High School, St. Francis Xavier High School, and St. Joseph High School who helped to provide prizes for all participants. Thank you also to all who volunteered their time to assist in judging.

SCIENCE FAIR -- March 8, 2006

There were 53 projects with over 80 student participants.  Congratulations to all participants on a job well done.  Thanks to the judges and sponsors. The top three projects from the science fair were these:

St mark first annual Science Fair -- March 9th 2005

On display were 35 projects dealing with a whole spectrum of topics from Mad Cow Disease to Coral Reefs to Electrostatic Motors. The science fair was a big success and for their efforts all participants received prizes that were collected from community members and businesses. Judging took place during the afternoon.

Some of our participants moved on to the Edmonton Regional Science Fair held at NAIT on April 9th & 10th.
